We had to remove some old robusta coffee trees from our farm earlier this year. The trees had been left unattended for some time and were still bearing coffee cherries. We were told the trees were over 20 years old. Nature is amazing, even though these trees received no care or attention, they still produced coffee and grew to an enormous size.
We also removed a lot of other trees which Leo will use for our cabin and processing facility. The experience was mixed for all of us, but as usual, Leo made the best of it and it was Goodbye Robusta, Hello Arabica.
